Head Varsity Coach

This is Coach Humphreys first year back to lead the Waller Bulldogs baseball team, after being the head varsity assistant in 2005. The last two years he was the varsity assistant under ex-Waller head coach Doug Rush at Spring High School. He is a 1998 graduate of Spring High School where he lettered for three years. Coach Humphreys was a Texas High School Coaches Associated All Star Selection, First team All Greater Houston selection and All State his senior year on a team that was ranked in the pre-season as number one in the nation. He attended Blinn Junior College on a baseball scholarship for 3 years and rounded out his baseball playing career at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana for two years where he was voted co-team Captain by his teammates and second team All WAC first baseman in 2003. He lead the team in RBI’s and Homeruns both years. He holds a Bachelors Degree in General Studies from Louisiana Tech University and now teaches Geometry here at the High School. Coach Humphreys father (Kenny Humphreys) was a coach for 23 years and has recently been inducted into the Texas High School Coaches Hall of Fame. His younger brother Keith Humphreys is the Varsity Assistant at Needville High School.

...is by no means a bachelor. Coach Atwood, senior coach on staff, and his better half, Julie, have one beautiful daughter Megan who attends Texas A&M University. Coach is a graduate from Westchester High School and Sam Houston State where he played four years of Lacrosse. Coach Atwood came to Waller two years ago after spending 19 years in Katy I.S.D. He brings his 23 years of coaching experience and strong discipline skills to complete our five man staff. He will also be joining the varsity staff assisting with outfielders. |

Coach Rodney Loewe
|

|
Coach Loewe is a long time resident of Waller County. He was born and raised in the Waller area and graduated from Waller High School in 1987 where he played short stop on the varsity baseball team for four years. Coach Loewe’s high school team was the first in Waller High School baseball history to make the playoffs. In high school, Coach Loewe also played basketball, lettered for two years, and made All-District his senior year. Coach Loewe has an Industrial Trades Certification from Sam Houston University and teaches Machine Shop at Waller High School. He has coached select baseball for three years. His team won a State Championship as well as two District Championships. Coach Loewe is married to his wife of 18 years, Robin, and they have three children, Rhett (13), Raeanne(7), and Rayce (6).

Coach Eric Geigley

Coach Eric Geigley is married to his wife of 14 years; Kellyn Geigley and they have two sons, Cole (11) and Wesley (9). Coach Geigley played his high school ball in Georgetown, Texas where he was a three-year letterman in baseball and a two-year letterman in football. Geigley was a three time all district 14-5A selection at third base and lead the team in RBI’s and homeruns all three years. In his senior year, Geigley was selected to the Austin American Statesman All Central Texas baseball team. Geigley also went on to play baseball for the Tarleton State Texans, where he helped them win their 1989 TIAA conference championship teams as a designated hitter. Geigley also played linebacker and fullback for Coach Art Briles at Georgetown High School, where he was selected 1st team all-district as a wide receiver (his senior year) for his ability to catch passes out of the backfield. Geigley received his Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Human Performance from Prairie View A&M University where he was a student coach under legendary baseball Coach John Tankersley. Geigley’s teammates nicknamed him “Physco” for his intense style of play and unmatched work ethic. Coach Art Briles, now the Head Football Coach at Baylor University also quoted him as being one of the fiercest competitors to ever walk the halls of Georgetown High. He hopes to bring this same level of intensity and work ethic to the fields of Waller High.
